Our support for charities

Every couple of months we select a chosen charity. Our current one in the run up to Christmas is, appropriately, Crisis at Christmas, a national charity supporting homeless people. Money donated for items on our bric-a-brac stall and second-hand book stall will go to the charity. Along with this, our collection at the Nativity Service is to go to Crisis at Christmas,

We have an ongoing appeal for warm clothing: especially coats, hats, gloves, scarves for both men and women. Sleeping bags are also needed – and all of these go to The Immanuel Project, a Bradford charity which helps homeless and vulnerable people in our city. Immanuel serves up breakfast and lunch Monday to Friday and is fortunate to be supported by some local shops and organisations, yet still needs money to supplement their food items – they get through a lot milk! If you would like to help Immanuel, we have a collecting box for clothes in our downstairs lobby and details on their website will provide details if you wish to donate money.

We always accept items of food and toiletries for the Foodbank and sent off our Harvest Festival goods. Alongside the usual items, the focus of the Christmas appeal is for Christmas cake, selection boxes, chocolate biscuits, tinned meat, tinned fruit and custard.

We have recently raised money for CAP (Christians Against Poverty – the debt counselling charity) and Christian Aid.

Thank you for your donations of money; bric-a-brac; books – all go to a good cause.
