Here are list of groups which currently meet at Northcliffe, do you run a group and need a space to practice or hold meetings, visit our calendar to see if we have availbilty.

Please note: All those working with children and vulnerable people are subject to a DBS check and expected to attend Safeguarding training. Feel free to read our safeguarding policy.

Monday & Friday

Hall Royd Band

Hall Royd Band, a community brass band from Shipley (near Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK), with a strong history of 70 years.

The band is proud to be associated with the Northcliffe Church, from where playing commenced all those years ago. Although our roots are with the church the band welcomes players from all walks of life, the majority of current players not being drawn from the parish.

Learner and Improvers: Monday 19:00-20:00

Regular Practice: 19:30-21:30

We would be delighted to hear from you, or feel free to simply turn up at the church on one of these rehearsal nights. You can email us first to make sure we haven’t got an engagement that night.

We endeavour to supply a band instrument and free tuition if requested – so you’ve got nothing to lose by giving us a try!!!

Ladies’ Keep Fit

Is held on Tuesday afternoon for an hour of  exercise to music, with work on core strength and posture.

Brownies, Guides, Rangers

Through fun, friendship, challenge and adventure we empower girls to find their voice, inspiring them to discover the best in themselves and to make a positive difference in their community.  

Brownies – 17:30 till 18:30
Brownies welcomes all girls from 7 to 10 years old for nonstop fun, learning and adventure.

Guides – 18:30 till 20:30
Guides is a relaxed, welcoming space where you can have fun, learn and be yourself with good friends from 10 to 14 years old.

Rangers – 19:00 till 21:00
Rangers is your space – where you get together with other girls from 14 to 18 to have fun, learn more, give back, hang out, and just be you.

Tuesday

The Bradford Chorale

Come and join us whether you are singer with many years experience, a complete beginner or somewhere in between but with a love for choral singing, we would love to meet you.

The choir has a regular singing strength currently of around 35 voices several of whom have been members since the founding of the choir.

Practice: 19:30-21:30

Come along on a Tuesday evening and see how you get on. There is no audition to join the choir and our Musical Director has extensive experience, and boundless enthusiasm for developing singing voices.

Wednesday

Yoga

Gentle exercise providing strength, suppleness, flexibility and calm. Wednesday evenings in term time.

Thursday

Fiddle ‘n’ Feet

Fiddle ‘n’ Feet are an Appalachian dance group, based in Shipley.

Their style of dancing originates in the American Appalachian mountains. It’s different from morris, in some ways more akin to Irish or Scottish dance. It involves an energetic tap dancing style, on a board that allows the taps to be heard, accompanied by lively fiddle music.

Thursday

Parents, Carers & Toddlers

We welcome 0-4 year olds with their parents, relatives, friends, carers or childminders – all welcome.

We meet during term-time on Thursday mornings from 10:00 till 11:30.

Our session has free play/chat, refreshments are served half way through the morning and we finish with a short story and singing time at the end. Refreshments are included in the entry fee, if cost is an issue for you please get in touch, we don’t want it to stop anyone from coming.

Booking is essential every week so we can keep numbers manageable –
