Our Church Anniversary weekend coincided with the Tour de Yorkshire so, having moved our service to the afternoon, we were able to “set up stall” in front of church offering refreshments to spectators, a free bible stall, and entertainment from Hall Royd Band.
It was a real party atmosphere and numbers swelled as the cyclists were due -and came through at speed in close formation. Donations for refreshments raised over £80 to go to the Alzheiemer’s Society, one of the race sponsors.

We put out the bunting and had a steady stream of friends and neighbours calling in for Afternoon Teas and a friendly chat. Thanks go to the team who provided and helped serve refreshments, including the guides and everyone who supported the event. Over £180 in donations will go to Haiti.
Exterior insulation panels and rendering, along with double glazed doors and windows to all our Community Rooms downstairs have made the building more secure and more environmentally friendly.

Improvements to our Community Hall are now complete with special thanks going to our Senior Guides Group who decorated the Hall and others who lent a hand. The new lighting and ceiling panels add the finishing touch while the double glazing and insulated walls make the whole place cosier.
Oh and the blue is a big improvement.

Bi-monthly services for praising, making and sharing – for all abilities and all ages. Thanks go to our regular team of contributors: Benjamin, Gill, June, Katie, Martin, Neil, Peter, Phil and Tim.
These guys lead worship, read stories or prayers, are part of the music group or prepare the craft activities each time we meet.
After taking part in this time of worship we share a time of fellowship in the hall for a tea made up of the food we have all brought to share.
All are welcome – for more details contact Tim 01274 594906.
Our next All Together is on 20th November at 3pm. Next year we will meet on 19th February and 23rd April.

Members of the Guide Dogs Association, including puppy walkers are regular visitors to Northcliffe. They meet in our Hall Royd room with a number of dogs in attendance. Some were able to attend our Community Fair and bring merchandise from the charity.
Many years ago, one of our members was instrumental in setting up the Talking Telegraph who meet each week at Northcliffe to organise recordings of local news from the T & A to be posted out to visually impaired people.
