Youth Club for 8-12 year olds is taking place at Northcliffe in the church on Monday evenings from 6 – 7.30pm. Led by Adam Robinson and Hazel Leech of the Zephaniah Trust with activities, games, bible stories. First session is free and each subsequent session is £2 to include tuck.
Wesley Singers Concert at Northcliffe – a large audience was thoroughly entertained with a concert of music and light entertainment by the Wesley Singers. Musical items were interspersed with humorous monologues and poems so there was much to laugh at and plenty of music to sit back and enjoy. Funds raised will help towards our building maintenance and improvements. Our thanks go to The Wesley Singers and their musical director Barry Jordan. It was obvious that this is a well-rehearsed choir. Thanks go also to Pat whose piano accompaniment was so accomplished.

Prayer Day was a blessing to those who attended. Some were from churches within Bradford North circuit and a few from other churches such as Life Church, St Margaret, Shipley Baptist and also Northcliffe’s Tuesday Church. The centre space was set out with a labyrinth which people could walk at their own pace and in contemplation. Around the church, prayer stations encouraged visitors to use senses such as sight or touch, and to think of others in our own community and around the world. Footsteps were set out to lead people to think of the path that led to Jesus.

On Saturday 8th September we held a Harvest Supper in the Church Hall. We all enjoyed a lovely meal – prepared on our new kitchen! Thanks go to all who contributed and to all who were able to attend.
At our Harvest Service the church was arrayed with flowers, fruit, vegetables, groceries and preserves. We also were able to display items which depicted God given talents at painting or knitting. The children showed us their scarecrow heads, pictures of baskets of fruit and Emily read out her harvest prayer for us.
We enjoyed hearing a presentation from an invited speaker from “Caring for Life” – who showed a short video depicting how the charity “shares the love of Jesus”.
When Northcliffe Church was approached by organisers of a local street party for our church neighbours in Hall Royd, Castle Road and Birklands Terrace we were happy to support this event by lending tables and chairs. Neighbours had a good get-together, sharing food and enjoying the sunshine. A great way to get to know each other.
We were happy to help!
