Bradford City Fire Disaster Rememberance

Today, we pause to remember the tragic events of May 11, 1985, when the Bradford City Fire took the lives of 56 people and injured hundreds more. As a church community, we hold in prayer all those who were affected by this heartbreaking disaster—the victims, their families, and the brave first responders who risked their lives to help others.

It is a solemn reminder of how precious life is, and of the strength we find in unity during times of suffering. Let us continue to pray for the survivors, for those who grieve, and for all whose lives were forever changed by this tragedy.

May the memory of those who perished never be forgotten, and may God’s peace comfort all who carry this loss in their hearts.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
—Psalm 34:18
